Call for Interest Sessions and Panels
The National Collegiate Choral Organization (NCCO) invites applications for interest sessions and panels to be given at the 11th Biennial National Conference, November 6-8, 2025, hosted by California State University, Fullerton.
Applicants may propose an interest session or a panel conversation. Interest sessions will be 30 minutes in length and may feature one or more presenters. Panel conversations are 60 minutes in length and should include 3-4 panelists.
Interest sessions and panels should focus on a topic of interest to NCCO's general membership. Our constituency includes faculty and students from a range of institution types and sizes. These include two- and four-year colleges, research institutions, and universities with students from across a broad spectrum of musical backgrounds. Sessions may take on a variety of forms including but not limited to lecture, guest interview, guided activities engaging the audience, and more. Preference will be given to proposals that relate to the conference theme of "Cultivating Transformation" and to the NCCO Vision and Mission Statements.
Presenters wishing to include live singing must rely on the assembled audience rather than bringing in an ensemble from their own or another institution. Sessions presenting choral literature should use digital excerpts and/or electronic scores with publisher's permission. The burden and cost of acquiring and/or printing scores falls entirely on the presenter. AV support will be available and coordinated after proposals have been selected for the conference.
NCCO welcomes applications from people at many different types of post-secondary institutions and in different types of roles (graduate students, instructors, tenure-line professors, administrators, among others), and representing many backgrounds and areas of specialty.

For sessions/panels involving more than one presenter, please choose one person to be the principal contact and submit only one application on behalf of your group.
