PANEL: "Reimagining Transitions Between Two-Year and Four-Year Colleges"

The path of the two-year college choral student is not always easily bridged to four-year institutions. As trends in post-secondary enrollment shift across the country, the profiles of community college students are broadening as well, which means traditional recruitment efforts by four-year schools may not include some students who could enhance our programs and expand our professional discipline. How can programs work together to enrich and broaden the undergraduate choral cohort in both community college and four-year schools? How do we engage and include more nontraditional students in our four-year programs? The panel will address benefits and barriers, and participants will engage in small group discussions to explore case studies and possible solutions for change.
